Miami Springs Centennial Logo Reveal

On June 23, 2025, our city came together for a truly special moment at City Hall: the official unveiling of the Miami Springs Centennial logo! It was a fantastic gathering, with so many familiar faces from our community and beyond. We were honored to have Mayor Walter Fajet, Vice Mayor Jorge Santin, and Councilmen Joseph Dion, Orlando Lamas, and Fabian Perez-Crespo join us. We also welcomed State Senator Bryan Avila, Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis, School Board Member Danny Espino, Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia, and Miami-Dade's Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. Of course, a huge thank you goes out to our incredible Centennial Committee for all their hard work in making this celebration happen! A special shout-out to our Chair, Sherry Feijoo, Vice Chair, Alex Aguiar, and Committee Members Michael Gavila, Jaime Petralanda, Ivonne Yee, Seth Bramson, and Noelbys Gonzalez for their dedication and effort!

A Logo Rooted in Our History and Spirit

This beautiful new logo was designed by our very own Noelbys Gonzalez, a talented local graphic designer and media producer. Noelbys poured so much thought and care into the design, drawing inspiration from the innovative and optimistic 1920s, a truly pivotal time in Miami Springs’ history.

The logo was leans into the Art Deco style of the times. You'll notice the elegant lines that are so prominent - straight, streamlined, and bold elements - perfectly echo the architectural style of that golden age. They represent our city's purposeful progress and our ever-aspirational spirit.

At the heart of the logo is a stylized plane, a wonderful tribute to our founder, Glenn Curtiss. He was an aviation pioneer whose vision truly transformed Miami Springs into the family-focused, community-first town we all cherish today. As a city with such deep roots in aviation, the plane reminds us of our amazing heritage and our exciting, high-flying future! The lettering itself, crafted in a classic 1920s font, beautifully connects our past with our present, celebrating the sophistication of that era while firmly anchoring us in today’s Centennial milestone.

From the Designer's Heart

Noelbys shared her personal connection to the project:

"Designing this logo was my way of giving back to my community. It was an absolute honor to work alongside Jorge Santin and the Centennial Committee on something so meaningful. I wanted the logo to capture the spirit of the 1920s, a time of bold dreams, innovation, and optimism. That era shaped Miami Springs, and it still inspires us today.

Everything in this logo reflects what Miami Springs has always been: a close-knit, visionary, and creative community. We’re still the dreamers and doers, building a better tomorrow for the next generation. That’s what this Centennial is all about."
